The funniest date ever?

Well ... not quite!

Imagine this ... you ask a girl out, and she laughs at your face!!! (Relax, I did'nt ask anyone out)

So anyways...I guess there could be many reasons a girl would say no...and laugh.
Reason 1: bad location
Reason 2: there were other people
Reason 3: in effect you say, "you have a funny name, would you like to go out with me?"
Reason 4: the best reason you find that she should go out with you is that you have known her for 8 months!!

Well its a surprise, she just laughed! .... I would have died rolling on the floor!

i am becoming a big fan of the yahoo gang these days...these guys do come up with some good stuff!

drink, dance and party!

btw...that party in the title was pronounced as *partthhy*!!

so, the grad-bar is one party that poor Indian grad students get to go to during the whole semester! this thursday night, it was at Trastevere, an Italian restaurant in the hollywood and highlangs complex on the hollywood walk of fame!! right alongside the who's who of hollywood! (well atleast their stars in concrete).

anyways, this was a rocking party with plenty of booze and plenty of booty. i wish i had pics to post here...

so i drink (jut a little), we dance and in general have a great time! return around 2:30 at night...and were dead tired (and frankly i was a little woozy)...slept till 10:30 man!!

good fun!

ps: i have a secret to tell....apparently booze makes me dance better than usual ;)

Of highs and lows

Today was the day of highs and lows....ups and downs....

Prof H said he would be willing to give me a recommendation. ye!!!

Later I asked him for a D.R., and he said he had too many students already, so he cannot take me.

For those who dont know, D.R.=Directed Research, you take credits in school and you work alongside a prof during a semester.

So as you see, I have mixed emotions right now..... :) ye!! ... and :(

oh comeon!!!!

For those who dont know... CS530 (Computer Security) has a lot of coding, especially when Prof. Cheng teaches it. Its actually infamous among people at USC. No offense to Prof. Cheng..and I love the course!

So my homework was due tonight at 11:45 pm (electronic submission ofcourse). I finished nicely yesterday..tested properly uptil today evening.

Now came the time to submit! Im all happy and everything..
The submitted file should be in a .tar.gz format. So I proceed as follows :

>tar cvf *.c *.h Makefile README

Then I proceed to submit it...really glad about it all. Then I spent some time doing other stuff... came home around 9:45. I realize (because of an email: bless that guy), that I had to make some changes.

So I open my files and realize...one of my files was lost!!! Overwritten by 'tar'!!
If you havent realized it yet, there should have been "h4.tar" after cvf in the command that I typed!!!!!!!

I get back to coding...finally dish out an ok-ok code ..submit it 10 minutes before time!

Right now, I can only think "why God why???????". :((

I just found out that Neil Armstrong is a USC alumni!!!

Also another famous USC alumni ... George Lucas!!

I am over the moon!!!
